I can’tsing and I've always wanted to learn to knit.
Realizing the difference between “interest” and “aptitude” is vitally important in discovering which path leads to your greatest chance of personal and financial success.
“Interest” can be easily lost. We’ve all picked up and discarded hobbies because at some point or other something about them piqued our interest. Some of us keep a few (or more if you’re me) on the back burner with the intention of actually devoting some time to them in the near future. Others blaze through them like they’re on a scavenger hunt. Check them off their list and quickly move on to the next more interesting thing.
If you’ve ever watched an audition for “American Idol” you will know what I mean. How many William Hung’s have deluded themselves to believe that just because they LOVE to sing it must therefore mean they must also be talented. This is painfully not true although sometimes sad and amusing. (I know. Even William had his 15 minutes.)

Higher education costs so much these days that it’s difficult to justify spending the next 4-7 years “finding yourself,” or, finally realizing after too many years that your chosen career is just not that interesting to you anymore. How about not wasting any more money or energy spinning your wheels along a career path that’s just not right for you?
I can help you with that because career coaching is my aptitude.
I’m also a LOT nicer than Simon Cowell.
